Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts

August 7, 2012

Residencies of 2, 4 or 6 weeks are intended as professional development opportunities for writers, visual artists, performance musicians and composers in all fields and genres. Proposals for self-directed, creative residencies must be compatible with available working studio spaces, facilities, and resources. Artistic merit and promise are the basis for selections. Both established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply. Any person over the age of 18 is eligible. English language skills are required.

Residencies provide time, space and facilities for research, experimentation and production of work and ideas in the visual, literary, film and musical arts. Residents are at liberty to structure their own time and activity. They may choose to maintain their privacy or to engage with other residents and activities at the Foundation and Brush Creek Ranch. Each resident is offered separate living accommodations (extra-long twin bed) with private bath and separate studio space.

The Winter/Spring artist retreats run from January – May with the postmarked deadline September 15 of the previous year. The Summer/Fall session runs from June – November with the postmarked application deadline on March 15 of the same year.
