The Ringholz Foundation Visual Art Grant

February 24, 2016

Artists of all ages.

First, the foundation is looking for hard work. Putting your time in with your medium is what takes artists from playing around with their art to their firm commitment to the relationship. This characteristic is imperative when trying to make a name for yourself in the arts.

Secondly, talent. You can recognize talent in someone’s passion for their work. When an artist loves what they are making, you can see it in the art. Talent is nurtured and pushed and expanded upon and simplified, and strongly coincides with the time and dedication in the studio.

Lastly, The Ringholz Foundation, pushes the heart of the artist. It is important to remember where you came from as an artist, and to be grateful to those who encouraged you to begin. It is equally important to use your gift at some point for the greater good.
