Glacier National Park AiR Program

July 25, 2016

Glacier National Park’s Artist-in-Residence program seeks artists whose work is relevant to the park interpretive themes. Artists in all disciplines who have a genuine interest in contributing to the national discussion on these themes should consider applying to the program.

The program provides the artist with four weeks of uninterrupted time to pursue their work. It also offers the opportunity to engage and inspire the public through outreach programs.
Sessions: June 5 – 30, 2017; July 10 – August 4, 2017; September 4 – 29, 2016; October 2 – 27, 2017

The artists selected for June, July and September will be given rent-free use of a furnished cabin on the shores of Lake McDonald. This cabin is rustic with no cell phone service or internet. The artist selected for October will be given rent-free use of a furnished house in the park headquarters area located in West Glacier. Basic cooking equipment and bedding is provided. This housing is only available for the artist. Family members, significant others and friends will not be allowed to stay with the artist in the house.
